Sakarya University (SAÜ) and the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) “Participation Funds and Value Value Workshop in the light of the Fıkıh Evaluations” was held.
Between May 21-22, 2016, to the workshop organized by the SAU Culture and Convention Center, attended participant banks, theology, academicians and representatives from public institutions in finance and economics.
Participants developed solution proposals by discussing the problems of shar’i related to the assessment of participation funds and the calculation of unit value. It was emphasized that stakeholders need to study deeply for some problems while concrete solutions for some problems are being developed in the workshop where problem areas are identified for a sharing can be made between participation account holders and participation banks in accordance with the Islamic principles and equity.
